Reunion offers something for everyone.  From painting and hiking, to singing and dancing, to quiet time for reflection, the weekend is a celebration of Putney and a celebration of you.  We hope you will join us.

Registration and Cost
Registration opens in April, and can be done online or by mail.  Activities begin Friday afternoon and end Sunday around lunchtime.  The cost for a complete weekend, including on-campus lodging, all meals, drinks, and activities, is approximately $130 per person, and $200 for a couple. The cost is less if you do not attend both dinners, and housing costs will change if you stay off campus.

Housing
We encourage you to stay on campus, as it allows you to fully re-immerse yourself in Putney.  Housing is available in single or double rooms on campus, with shared bathrooms.  Each reunion class or group will have its own dorm.  Contact your friends if you're hoping to room together or near each other, and just let us know your roommate preference. Alumni are welcome to stay Sunday night in the dorms as well, at no extra charge, if they would like to spend an extra day on campus.

If you would prefer to stay off campus, we have a list of local accommodations.

Help Plan Reunion
Would you like to help plan your reunion?  Do you have ideas for class activities?  Are you willing to send a few emails and contact some friends?  If so, please contact us.  Word of mouth and encouragement from friends is, hands down, the most effective way to get a great reunion turnout.

Dining
Marty Brennan-Sawyer and the entire KDU staff throw their creativity and skill into Reunion weekend, and we offer great food all weekend.  Dinners include an open bar with beer and wine, which is included in the cost of the dinner ticket. Your registration fee covers breakfast and lunch for the entire weekend; dinners are paid for separately. From farm-fresh eggs to in-season pie, the food at Putney is always a treat.  We'll even have The Putney Special for those nostalgic souls. The Putney School is a proud member of the Vermont Fresh Network.

Fitness and Fresh Air
The Field House will be open all weekend, there will be supervised time to use our climbing wall, and a yoga class on Saturday morning. Other options to get outside will include a hike up Putney Mountain, a bird-watching walk, and campus tours.

Traditions and Activities
Friday Night Sing in Barnes Assembly Hall will be followed by a Contra Dance. Saturday morning there will be a madrigal singing activity, and on Saturday evening, we'll have a talent show, where alumni can perform for each other, whether singing, dancing, reciting poetry, or anything they're inspired to do.

Kids' Activities
On Saturday morning, we'll offer kids' play time, supervised by Putney students, and on Saturday night, you can enjoy your class banquet with friends while Putney students entertain your kids with pizza and movies in a dorm common room.  Please be sure to let us know if you'd like to participate, so we can plan appropriately.

Transportation
Car: We suggest you use Google Maps rather than MapQuest, as MapQuest takes you up the "back way." Both the front and back ways are marked with green signs that say "The Putney School."  The school's address is 418 Houghton Brook Rd., Putney, VT 05346.

Air: The nearest airport is Bradley International in Hartford, CT.  You could also fly into Manchester, NH, as well as Boston, MA, although Boston is at least an hour farther away than Bradley or Manchester.

Train and Bus:  The train and bus both run to Brattleboro, VT.  You will need transportation up to campus once you arrive, so contact us if this is your plan, and we can help.

Bookstore
You will be able to buy Putney gear throughout the weekend in the campus bookstore, located in Old Boys dorm.

Stay Updated on Facebook
We'll post information, photos, and videos on Facebook.  It's a great way to connect for rides or to reach out to classmates.  You can like us on Facebook, or join The Putney School alumni group (or both!).
